Perle Rosse di Calabria Pepperoncino, the name alone sounds perfect!
It belongs to the species of the Capsicum annuum. Deep red in its colour this chilli has a clear moist heat, without completely taking over the flavors. A very good chilli to use in arrabiata sauce and are also great to make a good seasoned olive oil.
This Italian authentic Chilli from Calabria has a great aroma (dried or fresh).
Lovely deep fruity flavors and good cayenne type heat, these Italian chillies will go well with Italian classic meals, with a lovely backdrop of heat that doesn’t spoil the meal
What is certain about the Calabrian peppers is its level of spiciness that in some varieties becomes really high thanks to the atmospheric and environmental characteristics of the territory in which it is grown.
This is why "His Majesty the Peperoncino" is part of the deep identity of Calabria from the gastronomy to the folklore.
